Audra Williams - Boss
Audra isn't very convincing when using phrases like "career highlights". In spite of this, she speaks fondly of her own feminist website Marigold, her job animating discussion and enforcing civility on the message boards at the progressive news site rabble.ca, all that she learned by participating in the World Social Forum in the south of Brazil, the research she did on the topic of race issues in Canada for the Lawrence Hill book Black Berry Sweet Juice, and the four years she spent in Canada's smallest town as a Sign Language interpreter for the greatest Deaf kid ever. Lefty Lucy Communications grew out of a combination of Audra's studies in public relations and the realization that her toolkit now contained a whole mess of skills she could use to help fix the things she'd been rallying against (literally) for all these years.

Mark Laking - Partner/Designer/Photographer
Mark has the eye of an artist with the aesthetics of a late 1960's rock star. After formal training in both graphic design (Durham College) and photography (Sheridan College), Mark began documenting the Toronto music scene and became the go-to-guy for counterculture design work. While he continues to work as a freelance designer and photographer -- for such clients as Alteregos Cafe and MLA Maureen MacDonald -- Mark has recently delved into arts promotion. He created promotional material for a recent Eric Hayes exhibition, and has initiated and planned special events at both ViewPoint Gallery and Argyle Fine Arts.

Amy Campbell - Art Director
Amy is our "vice-designer." This is not an indication of her position in the chain of command, but because she has worked primarily on promotional material for bars and sex shops. Amy studied fine art at NSCAD, specializing in film, video, photography and design. She recently spent three years as production manager at the Coast, perfecting her layout, ad design, and general wrangling skills. In addition to all of this, Amy is the founder of BattleAxe Folk, an independent record label/management company devoted to local, independent, lyrical, opinionated, acoustic folk. She puts the "out" in "layout".

Gayle Bird -Webdesigner/Problem-Fixer
Gayle's been creating websites and teaching design for print and web since you were kneehigh to a chilliwhacker. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English from UCCB, and a diploma in Interactive Multimedia Technology from McKenzie College. She's got an artist's right brain and a techie's left; the two are in constant battle. Her current day-job involves teaching 3D animation, design, layout and web design, as well as creating and maintaining the marketing materials of the parent company, and its several offspring. She's been a freelance webdesigner in Cape Breton for several years, and conceived and created the brilliant satirical Sydney Tarponds Tourism website. When away from her computer, Gayle designs, creates and sells jewellery made from polymer clay, silver, and glass.

Erin Martin - Wordsmith/Editor/Designer
Erin has typo-radar, a Bachelor of English Language and Literature from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a diploma in Applied Communication Arts from the Nova Scotia Community College. She has also designed a line of greeting cards, taken promotional photographs for a preschool, and had a short story published by the Illinois Times.

Mike Caswell - Marketer/Illustrator
Mike fancies himself to be a rugged, yet sensitive man, the kind who's not afraid to use "fancy" as a verb. He's a graphic designer with a background (and a degree) in Marketing. Since graduating from the University of New Brunswick, Mike has spent time in Eastern and Western Canada, as well as South Korea, writing, designing, and plotting his revenge on the world.
